Short Sea Tanker Group

Aims:

  • To provide a forum for independent short sea tanker owners to enable world wide commercial, operational, and other tanker issues to be addressed, paying due regard to projects/work-programmes of INTERTANKO Committees and external bodies

  • To co-operate and develop dialogues with charterers, port authorities, terminal operators, the IMO and other parties

  • To create a sound basis for solving relevant issues, by submitting operational reports

Issues:

  • European phaseout proposals

  • Reception facilities

  • Update on non-SBT tankers  in the North Sea Baltic area

  • Competition with land based transportations
